Little Red in the Woods
Little Red Riding Hood meets Alice in Wonderland, and then they die. A lot.
This is a surreal-ish horror adventure created for the "I Can't Write (But Want to Tell a Story) game jam in July-August of 2020. It follows the optional theme of "Lost" and is told entirely through text and choices. Besides four "actual" endings that depend on some of your choices during the game, there are over twenty ways to meet an untimely end before you ever reach Grandma's house, along with well over 10k words of story.

ahh!! this is so good!! ending 3 will be the death of me. i bribed twice and i've done everything i can think of, but i can't figure it out!
Ahh this is so good. Some of the "unfortunate ends" were really unsettling, and honestly who knows what happened to the woodcutter? It's creepy. I can't figure out where exactly he... became different, but I guess it happened at some point? Or maybe that's the way he's always been. Who knows. Sadly my own "unfortunate end" came in the form of the elusive ending 3, I think I'm going to die trying to figure it out and honestly it's a death that represents me well enough. Great work on the game!!
this is such a neat game, i love twists on little red riding hood! i've exhausted every option i can find, but that mysterious ending 3 still alludes me. i've tried both "bribery" options i found early on but investigating the roses still doesn't unlock anything.
There's another step you need to do between the bribery and the roses.
Adore this game! I am having trouble unlocking one of the endings, though- I've managed Happy, Let's Eat, Grandma!, and Animal Shape (using my own names to allude to endings so as to avoid too much spoilers, and because I am bad at remembering names). Is there something I'm missing? I suspect that the rose path might contain some mystery, but cannot find a way to solve it.
I'm glad you're enjoying it! You're right, the rose path holds the last ending. You might open up new possibilities if you try some bribery earlier in the game!
